With the Institute for the Study of Japanese Folk Culture as its parent body, the International Center for Folk Culture Studies undertakes joint interdisciplinary and international research with domestic and overseas researchers and institutions. The Intramural Steering Committee is the Center’s governing body (refer to “Intramural Steering Committee” under the List of Intramural Steering Committee Members) responsible for drawing up plans for joint research projects, deliberating matters relating to the Center’s operations, such as operation evaluations, and making decisions on those matters.
